About the event

In the Celtic tradition, Imbolc celebrates the first stirrings of spring after the stillness of winter. It is a time of awakenings and new beginnings, where we carry the inner wisdom we've been cultivating during the darker months out into the more active part of the year.

In this workshop we will explore this theme and honour this event in the Celtic wheel of the year through an embodied exploration of what this seasons means for our lives right now.

The two-hour workshop will blend yoga and gentle movement with guided medtiation, time for reflection and sharing, and will close with a sound bath using gongs, singing bowls and a range of percussive instruments.

No prior experience is necessary and you are welcome to contact me with any questions about the venue or the practices.

Venue: We will be using the first floor hall in the Jericho community centre. Bolsters and blocks will be provided but you need to bring your own yoga mat and blanket.

What to bring:

- Wear clothing you able to move in freely, and a layers are good for ensuring comfort in mooments of stillness.

- A yoga mat and a blanket for comfort. You also might like to bring an eye pillow or scarf to cover the eyes when resting for the sound bath. Get in touch with me if you are't able to bring a yoga mat.

- Bring water for hydration and a journal if you like to note things down.
